African Youths Peace Works
The “African Youth Peace Works” will be directed at youth leader CBOs, FBOs, out of school youths, students & student leaders of institutions of higher learning. The programme is to enhance their conflict management skills and also initiate peace building related activities at the community levels.
A youth involvement in violent conflicts or armed conflicts has become a major challenge of sustaining peace in Africa . The de-construction of the “culture of violence” among youths would entail an education for peace at the formal and informal levels in order to develop the appropriate attitudes, knowledge, values and skills that would peace in the society.
